Works much better in the latter games because every we never play a Warden again.īut my biggest reason is that it doesn't actually make sense that if grey wardens are wanted criminals to go around with an armor that says "HEY I'M A GREY WARDEN"Įspecially because there are points where you can lie/hide that you're a Warden, and where people distrust your claims of "Wardenhood". and because realistically the Wardens probably do need to give their recruits armor, since Alienage elves and casteless dusters would never be able to bring their own armor when they join the taint club.īut for simple game-play reasons, it wouldn't be fun for the player to be stuck in the same armor the whole game.
I'm pretty sure they just added the armor in later games to look fancy and make the Wardens seems more cohesive.
